Parent & Family Engagement Lead

What do you do?

Bringing 26 years’ experience of working with children and families, my work involves ensuring that parents and families have a prominent voice in the development of Neonatal services across Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

This involves the development and maintenance of streamlined feedback across the Network, supporting and promoting co-production in all applicable work-streams, linking in with LMNSs and MVPs across the region, promoting and building membership to the Parent Advisory Group and currently acting as Chair for the Parent Advisory Group.  I currently work three days per week.

What would you like to achieve?

I’d like to build the Parent Advisory Group to ensure that we have voices that represent all communities across Kent, Surrey and Sussex and to have representatives who have experienced care in every one of the 13 neonatal units in KSS.

My hope is that, through regular meaningful feedback and true co-production, we can ensure that families are key partners in the development of Neonatal services and that there is truly, ‘Nothing about us, without us!’
