What do you do?
My role is to facilitate the implementation of strategies that will improve the experience for families, this is achieved through collaboration with lead staff in each unit to embed the philosophy of family integrated care. I am also working with Sarah Edwards on a transitional care project to ensure that there is equitable access to safe and appropriate transitional care for all babies within the region.
I work with the neonatal units at the Princess Anne Hospital in Southampton, Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester, Poole Hospital and the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading.
What would you like to achieve?
I am passionate about ensuring that neonatal parents are fully involved in the coproduction of services, that their voices are heard, and their opinions are sought. I am keen to work with staff using innovative and creative ways to provide education and resources that enhance the experience of families.
