Clinical Psychology Lead

What do you do? 

Siobhan is a Consultant Clinical Psychologists/Parent-Infant Psychotherapist and the Lead for Psychological Professionals working on the neonatal units. Siobhan’s work involves developing psychological provision, supporting psychological thinking and practice to support the mental health of local families on the units. 

What would you like to achieve?  

Siobhan would like to improve access to psychological therapies for all parents and infants during their neonatal stay across the region. Currently, the number of units and available time for psychological professionals in the region is far less than recommendations suggest. Siobhan is also keen to support neonatal teams with training, communities of practice and opportunities which enhance the emotional experience of neonatal families. Supporting parental wellbeing, strengthening parent-infant relationships and laying a positive foundation for discharge are key aims for Siobhan’s work.
